all i can say is yum
how to make:
1 tablespoon yeast
1/4 cup warm water
1 teaspoon sugar
mix together and let proof about 5 minutes
in mixing bowl add
1/4 cup butter
1 cup milk, scalded
4 tablespoons sugar
beat 1 minute
let cool a bit
add
1 egg
and yeast mixture
beat until incorporated
add
1 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 cups flour, 1 cup at a time
beat with bread hook about 5 minutes
cover and let rise about an hour
roll out on floured surface
spread 1/4 cup melted butter'
juice of one orange
zest of orange
1/2 cup brown sugar
roll and cut into 12 buns
place in buttered 9 x 13 baking dish
cover and let rise about an hour
bake 350 degrees for 18 minutes
glaze
juice and zest of one orange
1 1/2 cups icing sugar
whisk together
the ingredients
allow to proof until yeast resembles a creamy foam
dough rising until doubled
roll out with rolling pin to a 12 x 15 rectangle
melted butter, orange juice orange zest, brown sugar
roll up, and slice into 12 pieces
one of my favorite tools - pastry scraper
it slices the roll and cleans up the flour on the counter
place in buttered 9 x 13 baking dish
cover for an hour
rise until doubled
