my kitchenaid
kitchenaid or bosch
you are either a coke or pepsi fan
which side are you on?
i didn't get my kitchenaid until my kids were probably in high school, i only had a hand mixer
so, i was very excited when i brought her home so pretty and new
oh, the recipes we were going to make together
and now my kitchenaid #3 is sporting a chevron decal from the house of smiths
easily removable when my chevron phase passes
my 1st kitchenaid was a white one
it made lots of breads and cookies
and is still going strong at a friend's
then i went thru my color stage
kitchenaid #2 was orange
very bright and cheery
but too taste specific
she was also one of the smaller ones
and could not accommodate large batches of cookies
so she was replaced
to kitchenaid #3
large navy and strong
fits right in my current style
and hopefully styles to come
yesterday she made
2 dozen buns
2 loaves af banana bread
and strawberry shortcake for 8

Banana Bread
1 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar, beat until smooth
add
6 ripe bananas, beat until well mixed
add
4 eggs
add
2 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon nutmeg (fresh grated is best)
pour batter into 2 buttered loaf pans
sprinkle 1/2 cup chocolate chips on top of each loaf
bake at 350 degrees for an hour
tip:
freeze over ripe bananas instead of throwing them away
i peel and put in freezer baggie until i'm ready to make a batch of banana bread
i heart this recipe, my kids heart this recipe
great for after school, in the lunch sack, or mid morning break
