when made with love
all wrapped up and ready to place in your loved one's lunch sack
wrap cookie in parchment paper and tie with a string
the package looks as yummy as the cookie inside
i love cookies
all kinds of cookies
chocolate chip cookies
oatmeal raison cookies
snickerdoodles oh the cinnamon
sugar cookies with frosting and sprinkles
macaroons yum just thinking about them
peanut butter cookies especially with a hershey kiss
shortbread love the butter they melt in your mouth
the list goes on and on and on and on
i can say "i haven't met a cookie i didn't like"
but my favorite by far is this cookie
the best oatmeal chocolate chip cookie
1 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
with electric mixer beat butter until creamy
add sugars and beat
add eggs and vanilla, beat until creamy
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
add dry ingredients too mixture
2 1/2 cups oats [i like to grind the oats a bit}
add and mix
16 oz. chocolate chips
with large cookie scoop - the size of an ice cream scoop
place 6 cookies onto ungreased cookie sheet
bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes until golden on top
take off cookie sheet and cool
makes about 18 cookies
TIP : place extra cookie dough on saran wrap and roll into log
they will be ready to slice and bake another day
freeze if not wanting to use in the next 3 days
